The present invention relates to a mechanical washer for coffee with degraded mucilage of horizontal configuration. In particular, it describes a device for the coffee milling process used to remove the mucilage from coffee cherries once the mucilage covering the beans has been degraded by means of the fermentation process or with the application of pectinolytic enzymes. Such a device comprises a horizontal main shaft supporting a dosing mechanism and a rotor with toothed agitators arranged along its length; a cylindrical casing; a vessel or container; and a water injector device.
