En octubre se esperan precipitaciones dentro de lo normal en la mayor parte de la región cafetera salvo en Magdalena y algunos sectores aislados, principalmente en Tolima y Huila, que experimentarán una reducción en las lluvias de hasta el 30%. Octubre hace parte de la segunda temporada de lluvias en la mayor parte del territorio nacional.
