Green coffee, determination of loss in mass at 105 °c: This standard specifies a method for the determination of mass loss at l05 -C in green coffee; it applies to decaffeinated or non decaffeinated green coffee, as defined in NTC 3314 or ISO 3509. This method of mass loss determination can be considered by convention as a method to determine the water content and can be used as such by agreement between the interested parties, but its results are about 1% lower than those obtained with the methods described in ISO 1446. (This last method serves only as a reference to calibrate methods for determining the water content).  Â
