The results of the coffee processing typification at the national level for the year 2020 show that around a quarter of the coffee mills characterized have already implemented ecological processing and that close to two thirds of the mills are categorized as processing in transition to ecological, covering 89% of both categories, reflecting the efforts of coffee growers to adopt and implement processing practices and technologies that allow them to reduce water consumption and reduce the levels of contamination associated with the management of the wastewater generated.
