In order to study the distribution of soil nutrients, tending to make more efficient the use of fertilizers and contribute to the increase of profitability and productivity; this preliminary analysis was carried out in a coffee crop plot under an agroforestry system in the El Roble farm, located in the municipality of Los Santos, department of Santander. The coffee crop was established at densities of 6,400 plants per ha and shade trees at 178 per ha. Fifty percent of coffee plants received fertilization with organic compounds; whereas the remaining plants had no fertilization. From this approximation, it was possible to obtain that the analyzed chemical variables have a spatially dependent structure, which allows the development of maps using geostatistical techniques. The techniques of spatial analysis of crop production allows the evaluation of its behavior, helping to determine areas for the specific management of each plot. The chemical variables presented low and high values within the same area and under the same treatments, translated into variability of crop production. From these findings, it could be inferred that this amplitude justifies the differentiated and localized application of fertilizers.
